My challenge in writing these posts is to see my own system and its inhabitants through an outsider’s lens and try to make sense of it. Hopefully, this will be useful. A few years ago, the EUASA conducted a survey of study abroad resident practitioners about their work and their challenges. Operating with very small teams, too little time, and too little money, the disconnect between on-site teams and students’ sending institutions were clear issues for these practitioners. F
